Jaylew Engineering Ltd of Grantham is a long-established firm with a history of constantly reinvested in its machinery and processes. It is now one of the biggest sub-contract engineering machining workshops in the country, working largely in the generator and rail industry – Cummins being one of their largest customers.

Storage Concepts was tasked with transforming the administrative, workshop and storage parts of the operation into a modern, efficient facility.

We began by producing detailed manuals containing our proposals, specifications and detailed AutoCAD drawings. Naturally, our suggestions had to take into account the sound attenuation and thermal insulation issues – and heating costs – posed by the production areas, with their high roofs and large open spaces.

We guaranteed to install the systems within Jaylew’s maintenance shutdown periods – a very tight timescale indeed.

We provided a total design and installation package that was fully compliant with all the latest design, build and construction legislation, including CDM, Health & Safety and Building Regulations.

And we executed the transformation within the original £100,000 budget – complete with suspended ceilings, high speed automatic door, air con and electrical systems, office partitioning, furniture and seating, pallet racking and floor coverings.

Jaylew is delighted with their new offices, workshop and storage facilities.
