Mezzanine Floor Loadings

At Storage Concepts we are often asked the minimum loadings a mezzanine floor can be built to, well the answer is 4 . 8 kn/m2 We can manufacture Mezzanines which require a larger loading depending on what the end user is intending to use the additional space for, whether that be storage or an office area.

We check the existing floor conditions to ensure the floor can support the point loads imposed by the new mezzanine floor columns; such as concrete thickness, ground bearing pressure and so on. In circumstances where this information is not known, then our team will carry out a bore hole test to establish what the floor conditions are like.

If needed we would have to install foundation pads to support the new mezzanine floor columns.
