Warehouse Relocation

Due to the Rapid Growth in business, Techno Cargo had to relocate from its base in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire to Denby, Derbyshire. Its new home was proposed to include the main warehouse of 231,264 square feet in addition to offices that were to be arranged over three floors.

Storage Concepts had been on board and helped Techno Cargo equip their original premises and so, fortunately for us, we were a natural choice to assist with the relocation.

The team undertook a full site survey and evaluation before supplying drawings and quotations for a range of possible solutions to Techno Cargo’s requirements. These proposals included detail information about where savings on heating and lighting systems could be made.

The budget was tight, but time was even tighter!

We had just six weeks to supply full AutoCAD drawings, comprehensive proposals, and a detailed programme of works plus obtain Health & Safety and Building Regulations approval. Of course, we achieved all of it to the satisfaction of those at Techno Cargo as well as our own team.

The project included the installation of double skin steel partitioning, heating, lighting, pallet racking as well as supplying and installing lockers It was all completed within the six weeks deadline and the operation was such a success that we have supplied Techno Cargo with our products and services on numerous projects since.
